주거가 아닌 투자 목적으로 변질되어 버린 한국 부동산의 현실을 비판하며 가치에 대한 의미가 무엇인지에 대해 고민해보았다. 부동산 투자를 통한 부의 축적에 대한 지나친 욕망의 경향은 자본주의 체제의 더 깊은 문제의 징후이다. 부와 과시에 대한 욕망은 샹들리에의 밝고 화려한 불빛처럼 성공과 권력을 다른 사람에게 알리는 수단이 된다. 결과적으로 사람들은 사회적 승인과 인정을 얻기 위한 수단으로 부와 물질적 소유를 추구하게 되며 이것은 한국 사회 부동산의 집착으로 연결되어 버렸다. 크리스탈을 여려 겹 쌓아 샹들리에를 만드는 것처럼 부동산의 집착은 더 많이 과시하고 화려하도록 부추긴다. 결국에는 부를 추구하는 것은 더 큰 행복이나 웰빙을 얻기 위한 수단이 아니라 그 자체로 목적이 되어버린다. 영상 속에 등장하는 아파트 전면에 타오르는 붉은 색 시그널은 부와 과시에 대한 욕망이 타인에게 자신의 성공과 권력을 알리는 신호이자 상징이다. 또한 붉은 색 시그널은 비이상적으로 흘러가는 사회적 규범에 순응하라는 끊임없는 압력과 동질화된 집단적 이데올로기로 변모된 현상이다.
